Secrets of the Fiscalini Ranch Forest

Mar 1
10am - 12pm

Location: Tipton and Warren Street
Docent: Brian Morgan

Uncover the hidden secrets of the Fiscalini Ranch Preserve on this docent led walk of discovery.  Learn how a slow walk through a quiet forest and coastal prairie can ease the mind and cure and protect the body.  Watch for circling raptors, beautiful lichens and mosses, early season wildflowers, and late season mushrooms.  Notice the deer behind the tree, the noisy gray squirrels chasing around a pine, and the elusive big-eared woodrat.

The walk is approximately 2.5 miles long with very little elevation gain.  Wear shoes that protect the toes and long pants to protect from poison oak.  Children welcome with adult supervision.  For more information and directions, call Brian at 805-305-1423, leave a message and Brian will return your call. You can also reach him by email at 73jnhly@gmail.com. The walk is free and open to the public.
